Access Control Systems

As with most "systems", access control involves the application of various parts from different manufactures to complete the entire system. In general, the necessary parts are a main control, ( makes the decisions to allow or deny access ), door strike hardware to release the door, (along with compatible locks), power supplies for both, access cards or fobs for the individuals, users, compatible access control software and a computer to program the system.

Access control systems have to be designed to allow free egress in the event of fire alarms as provided by law!

Inadequately designed systems that violate fire code will result in fines or in worst case injury or death !
